PHRYGIA, Cotiaeum. Philip I. AD 244-249. Æ 27mm (15.91 g). C. Julius Ponticus, archiereus. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust left, holding spear forward and shield decorated with gorgoneion / Kybele seated left on cart being drawn by two lions. BMC Lycia, etc. p. 173, 75; cf. SNG von Aulock 3786 (same reverse die). Fine, patina stripped.
